Thank you very much this post is really useful.
but firstly you should explain how to append (leafpad /etc/apt/sources.list).
Secondly the “”deb http://http.kali.org/kali kali main contrib non-free”” is used for Kali Linux 1.x.
for Kali Linux 2.0 – Kali Sana users you should use :

    # Regular repositories
deb http://http.kali.org/kali sana main non-free contrib
    deb http://security.kali.org/kali-security sana/updates main contrib non-free
    # Source repositories
    deb-src http://http.kali.org/kali sana main non-free contrib
    deb-src http://security.kali.org/kali-security sana/updates main contrib non-free

THIS SOLUTION IS NOT WORKING FOR KALI ROLLING, AND BIT OF MORE EXPLANATION WOULD HELP ONLY!

    • Hello Aritra, what errors did you see or steps failed that according to you “IS NOT WORKING”? Explaining any problems faced while following the solution helps an author such as myself to correct or enhance it.

Secondly which parts required more explanation or you felt lost at?
